Brian Shooting
Our group at work’s been doing really well. We hit all our first half goals, and they felt we deserved a treat. So, much thanks to our Red Sox loving executive assistant Nancy, we got a tour of Fenway Park. There were a number of times that I had to work hard to not tear up, because every foot of it reminded me of my grandmother. She was a huge Red Sox fan. At one point, when I was maybe fifteen, she took me to see a game and I’ll never forget.
The tour was fun, if you’re a Red Sox fan, and while I think Baseball pretty boring to watch most of the time, my grandmother taught me what it was to be a fan, and she was a Sox fan, and no matter where I go in life, Boston will always be my home. And I love our quirky little stadium, with it’s wonky dimentions, and historical anecdotes. So yeah, if you ask me, I’m a Sox fan, and always will be. All because of a little tiny woman I loved until her dying day.
After the tour we went down the street and our boss bought us a round of drinks. The cool thing is, I actually like hanging with my coworkers, and I’d never gone out for drinks with any coworkers before. At least, I don’t think so…
This was actually my second drawing tonight. The first, of a bunch of coworkes, was even more lifeless. I pondered trying a third of the field, but that would have probably been boring. This was taken from a pic of Brian shooting his his bigass camera. Tonights lesson, if you’re not really into the image you’re drawing it’ll come through. But, I really wanted to draw something connected to today’s trip.
I took a bunch of pics during the tour but only one that I liked, and that was of The Red Seat.
