I don’t get it. It used to be that she was just curious about it. She’d want a piece, but once she got it she’d lick it a couple times, and maybe try to bite it once or twice, but not actually eat it. Nowadays I can throw popcorn to her just like Bandido.
It’s very strange, but it makes me smile.
In other news, I decided to go in to work today. I was feeling fine this morning and I was crossing my fingers that I’d find some way to feel more productive today. Well, I found myself a fun pile-o-work to dive into, and ended up quite glad I went in. Just reinforced the idea that I don’t really want to be a manager. I’m happiest when I’m head down with a pile of interesting work that needs plowing through. Right now I’m working on the upcoming versions of two projects, and fixing any bugs QA finds with the last version of each, and trying to get all of it wrapped up quickly so that I can help the new guy as soon as his project is ready for coding. And, while that sounds stressy, I love my work and it’s filled with tasks that make me feel I’ve accomplished something useful when I finish them.
