when you know you don’t know something…
It’s when you know there’s something you don’t know that’s the killer.
If you’ve been here lately you’ve probably noticed a fair number of drawings of like_shipwrecks*. She takes nice pics, and I like the way she thinks. Unsurprisingly a link to one or more of my drawings has appeared in the comments of one of her pics. The “killer” part is that it’s a private pic. Now, I don’t care that someone’s talking about/linking to my post(s) without my being able to see it, and, I don’t mind that I can’t see the pic ( although I’m totally curious as to what it could be). But, It’s driving me freaking crazy that my stats page keeps showing me links from a page I can’t look at!
It’s such a tease. The stats dangle these little carrots, “Look, someone’s linked to you.” “Look, people keep coming here from that post.” Then, when you reach for it, it’s yanked away: “Psyche! Nah nah nah NAh naaaa. You cAAaaan’t seee it.”
Ignorance wouldn’t be bliss, because I’d just be ignorant, which is boring, and knowing would probably turn out to be not nearly as interesting as the build-up. But all day (Friday) my brain has been going “What is it?! What IS it?!”
So, as a result of my overly dramatic curiosity about the mystery post by like_shipwrecks, I drew this little shipwreck.
As for why I can’t see the pic? She’s posted it just for friends and/or family probably, and I’m not one of them. *sniffle* *tear* 
Actually, it’s kinda weird to keep drawing and referring to this person I don’t even know. I hope she doesn’t mind. Please let me know if you do mind, like_shipwrecks (assuming you see this).
*OMFG I’ve been referring to her as “little_shipwrecks” for the past few posts when her nick is “like_shipwrecks”. I’m so embarrassed. I have no idea why I kept thinking it was “little”. I got it right the first couple times…. so weird.

I’m really sorry to freak you out about the links and all that! But I didn’t know you were on Flickr and if I had I would have added you ages ago. The link I think you’re talking about is in a ‘discussion’ on an ‘issue’ I had with someone else. I was using you as a good example of someone who takes inspiration from someone else and creates their own art from it.
And you’re rad and I think ‘little_shipwrecks” is cute <3!
