A nice rain today: not too cold, not too hard, not too desperately needed… a nice rain. A welcome transition. Landscapers planted some tree/bush things outside of our house. Little clumps of maybe ten of these were hanging down, petals weighed heavily with water droplets.

I think it’s about time for me to take a vacation. I’ve only had one since college, and that was our honeymoon to Disney World, which was a wonderful experience, but was also filled with constant motion. Except for that I’ve pretty much been working my ass off since college.*

I’m looking around, finding deals, and exploring alternate ways to afford a good trip this summer. I keep thinking, “if only I could get some sponsors…” But, I’m having trouble thinking of a good sponsorable aspect to this trip. If I was doing all 50 states, or something other than an odd run down the east coast, over to the Grand Canyon, and back up to Boston… I do have a couple other little ideas bubbling around in my noggin… Maybe something interesting will become of them.

* I don’t count the time spent after a layoff as a vacation. It was a time filled with stress and worry.
