Sunday night Kirk and friends came over and we had catfish and a mini-bday celebration. Monday night the real event happened and we had fish again (unplanned coincidence). Kirk’s been celebrating his birthdays lately by buying his friends dinner, which he claims is a European tradition, and I think is just an excellent idea. It has an “I’m grateful to have you people in my life so come celebrate my birthday with me” kind of feeling to it.
