A draught of Hobgoblin
It was an odd day… fuzzy. Tasks flowed in and out of each other without definition. Things just weren’t popping, and for once a beer with dinner sounded nice. Wychwood Brewery makes a very drinkable and full flavored ale called Hobgoblin which I really enjoy. It’s not to everyone’s liking, but if you get the opportunity I’d recommend you give it a chance. Alas, as I went out for the evening dog-walk I realized I can’t drink any more until Mizzy’s baby comes, otherwise i may not be able to hop on the road right away.
Before I got home though, another piece of oddness was added. Quantum books held a party to mark the closing of their Kendall Square location. It’s been a symbol of Boston’s coolness for me for years now. A book store devoted to code, physics, math, and other geekery. I thought it was so cool when our team moved to an office in the same building, and now, they’ve moved. It was weird though: a bookstore, with a DJ, finger foods, and milling geeks who didn’t know each other. We’re such odd ducks, us geeks. I don’t really understand why people would hang out for that. Of course, that could just be me. I don’t understand much of anything humans do.
I’m not thrilled with todays offering. I really want to make comics, not stand-alone drawings, but you need a story to tell. Unfortunately, the stories of my days really aren’t that interesting to others, and they tend to be quite similar. We’ll see…. something will shake loose in my brain.

[...] have nothing against drinking. I love a good microbrew beer. But getting drunk…. arrgh. I realize I’m biased in this, but I don’t care. [...]
